POVESTEA NOASTRĂ — OUR STORY

Romanian food.
A Daventry address.

Shaormania was created to bring the food we know to the place we now call home. Romanian-style shaorma, mici from the grill, generous platters and proper desserts, served in Daventry without trying to turn them into something they are not.

WHY SHAORMANIA

THE FOOD WE WERE MISSING.

Romanian shaorma has its own character. It is generously filled, layered with meat, fries, salad and sauce, and built to feel like a complete meal.

The grill matters just as much. Mici, pork neck, pork belly, chicken thighs and sausages are the kind of food made for sharing, eating while hot and ordering when you are properly hungry.

Shaormania brings those flavours together in one place, here in Daventry.

Our Story

Shaormania started with a simple problem: we love shaorma, and we couldn't find a proper one anywhere near Daventry.

We also love a barbecue. But if you've ever been to one, you know how it goes — someone always gets stuck at the grill, standing in the smoke while everyone else eats, laughs, and asks when the food's ready. We decided to be that person. Permanently. You get meat cooked properly over real heat, and nobody has to go home smelling like charcoal.

Everything we make follows the recipes we grew up with. The meat is marinated and carved off the spit the way it's done back home, the sauces are ours, and nothing comes out of a packet. This was never meant to be fast food that just fills a hole — it's the food we missed, made the way we remember it.

Come hungry.

FOC ȘI GUST — FIRE AND FLAVOUR

No small portions.
No overcomplicating it.

The idea is straightforward: cook the meat properly, serve it generously and let the food speak for itself.

Some people come for the shaorma. Others come for mici, mixed grill platters, papanași or clătite. For Romanian customers, the flavours are familiar. For everyone else, they are an introduction to the way this food is meant to be served.
